YOU COUNT!
Your participation in the 2020 Census is important.
When more Albany residents fill out the 2020 Census, our City can receive more federal money. This money will help educate our children, rebuild our roads, and create jobs and opportunities for our growing, vibrant City.
Reaching 100,000 residents is a major milestone that will unlock important new money for our City. With 97,856 residents as of 2010, Albany is almost there, and YOU could make the difference.

HOW TO RESPOND TO THE 2020 CENSUS
STEP 1: RECEIVE A POSTCARD IN THE MAIL FROM THE CENSUS BUREAU
Use the code on the postcard to respond to access the Census online. If you prefer, you can call the phone number on the postcard and answer over the phone. These are the easiest and quickest ways to ensure you are included in Albany's count.
STEP 2: FILL OUT THE SURVEY
The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete. You can respond to the Census quickly online or by phone in 12 different languages.
STEP 3: RESPOND BY APRIL 1
Respond to the Census promptly and encourage your family, friends, and neighbors to do the same. If you do not respond by April 1, additional steps will be taken to ensure you are counted. These steps include mailing a paper form and knocking on your door to offer in-person assistance. If you have any trouble completing the survey, you should email info@albanycounts.com.
